Fit and ergonomics
Optics and night vision setups often sit higher than a factory stock’s comb is built for. The Gen 3’s adjustable cheek riser lets you set comb height for your red dot, magnified optic, night vision, or thermal setup, so your eye lines up consistently shot after shot. That helps with precision work on the 7.62 SCAR 17 and with fast, dynamic shooting on the 5.56 SCAR 16.
Folds without getting in the way
The stock folds for transport and storage, and it’s designed so the rifle can still be fired with the stock folded. That keeps your SCAR compact in vehicles, packs, and cases, and gives you a short, handy configuration when you need one.
A simpler path from SCAR pistol to SBR
If you own a SCAR pistol, adding the F5-ACR Gen 3 makes it a short-barreled rifle (SBR), and federal rules for doing that have recently changed. The federal making and transfer tax on SBRs has been $0 since January 1, 2026. On October 9, 2026, ATF announced it will no longer enforce the NFA’s prior-approval, registration, and tax-stamp requirements for SBRs. Under that policy you don’t have to file an ATF Form 1 and wait for approval before attaching a stock to your pistol. ATF continues to accept voluntary NFA registrations for those who want one.
This is an ATF enforcement policy, not a repeal of the law, and it can change. Many states require SBRs to be registered or ban them entirely, and the federal policy does not override state or local law. See the legal notice below.
