Types of Co-Witness;

Absolute Co-Witness:

The red dot aligns perfectly with the top of your front sight post and the rear sight notch, creating a single point of aim.
Lower 1/3 Co-Witness:

The iron sights sit low in the optic’s window (the bottom third), so you aim with the dot, but the irons are there if needed, often preferred for a cleaner view.

How It Works

Sight Alignment: You zero your firearm so that when you see the red dot on the target, your iron sights also align on the target.

Red Dot Function: The red dot provides a fast, parallax-free aiming point.

Backup: If the red dot battery dies, you can immediately use the visible iron sights through the optic to continue shooting without removing the sight or making major adjustments, just by shifting focus.

Ideal for aligning your iron sights (front and rear) to be visible and usable through the red dot optic – Or establishing a co-witness system.

Peak Sights have manually adjustable elevation (front) and windage (rear): Both with a refined 0.5MOA/click, which matches most Red Dot sights’. The Peak sight post is CNC machined to the correct width for a 15″ sight radius, non-rotating for finer adjustment, and flat faced to eliminate highlight bias.
